A “plastic free” Playground in Malta

On the island of Malta, a plastic-free park integrated into nature has avoided the emission of 30 tons of CO2.

A new play and gym activity area has been inaugurated on the island of Malta, designed for a truly sustainable insertion into the nature of the green area. The project was based on the reduction of the use of plastic and metal, providing play and physical activity equipment made of wood, the most renewable construction material in the world.

The public playground has achieved an extraordinary result in terms of chromatism, functionality and quality thanks to the value that only wood can give: a renewable, ecological, durable material, resistant to salt and heat. The equipped park is dedicated to a heterogeneous public that includes a wide age range and allows play and gym activities and also includes an “Agility Dog“.
