SPORT IN THE PARKS

We are an active part of the national project “Sport in the Parks”, born from the collaboration between Sport and Health and the National Association of Italian Municipalities, with the aim of creating new sports areas and concretely expressing the principle of the right to sport for all. We are creating over 120 fitness areas in as many Italian municipalities.

The project was presented at the beginning of February 2023 at the Quirinale where the Head of State, Sergio Mattarella, received the Minister for Sport and Youth, Andrea Abodi and the President and CEO of Sport and Health, Vito Cozzoli. Also present at the meeting were the Chief of Staff Massimiliano Atelli, the Head of the Sports Department Flavio Siniscalchi and the “Legends” Manuela Di Centa and Juri Chechi.

“The contribution of sport is not collateral, but fundamental ,” said Mattarella and thanked “Minister Abodi and the President of Sport and Health Cozzoli for what they do day after day. It is truly a contribution to the country. Expanding the practice of sport is important socially and economically . ” Abodi underlined that ” the social projects managed with Sport and Health are important because sport can only start from the bottom, it is the base that supports the top “. “ More than winning – continued Minister Abodi – sport must convince, through dialogue with everyone ”.
